We are now hiring Solar Photovoltaic Installers for residential and commercial projects located in our Los Angeles, Orange County and Phoenix (Arizona) offices.
SolarCity is growing rapidly throughout California/Arizona. We have employment opportunities for experienced solar installers who would like to join an exciting team of environmental leaders. Advancement is possible and expected for those who prove themselves. We are hiring the leaders of tomorrow.
The following positions are currently open:
PV Installation Support (4th man)
• Note: This is a great position for lower level or entry level construction workers, roofers, laborers who want to get started in the solar industry.
PV Installer
• Note:This is a great position for construction workers, roofers, electricians who want to leverage their skills and move into the solar industry.
Senior PV Installer
• More than 2 years of PV installation experience
• Understanding of the NEC codes that relate to AC and DC electrical installations and particularly PV installations
Crew Lead
• Team leader with the ability to motivate and manage a team of at least 2 people and as many as 5 people
• Experience leading, managing and motivating construction crews
General Qualifications required for all of the above positions:
-Previous solar experience
-Understanding of 2005 NEC Code
-Exposure to roof flashing techniques
-Crew/Team management experience
-Must be able to work safely with the tools and equipment required
-Must be willing to do residential, commercial, & service work
-Must be willing to work in extreme environments (hot sun, high places/roofs & crawl spaces)
-Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds and not afraid of roof top heights
-Must have a clean, valid drivers license
